Merrickville Monkees are handmade glass beads. Each one is unique, created with fire and smiles just for you!

Layers of glass are applied and shaped to create the expressions and accoutrements of each monkee. Once I am satisfied with the way they look I put them directly into a kiln where the glass is annealed. This means that the stresses that build in the glass when it is worked are allowed to release before the glass is cooled at a very slow rate. Without annealing these beads could crack at any time. Worn with care these monkees should last for years to come!
